Diversified group Hero Motors has envisaged plans to make an investment of Rs 2,000 crore across its hospitality, auto components and bicycles business by the end of 2020 to scale up operations
Around Rs 1,400 crore will be pumped into Munjal Hospitality, which, along with Godrej Fund Management, is developing one million sq ft of property in Gurugram, Haryana. The remaining funds are earmarked for automotive parts and bicycles business
Hero Cycles is setting up an industrial park in Punjab at an investment of Rs 200 crore, with its suppliers putting in an additional Rs 200 crore. While the company is developing e-bikes with Yamaha, part of the capital expenditure will be set aside for the planned acquisition of 30 percent in a German e-bike manufacturer. The final agreement is expected to be inked by the end of FY19
